Systemic Diseases

Diabetes mellitus
Systemic lupus erythematosus
Drugs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, penicillamine, "street heroin")
Infections (malaria, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome)
Malignant disease (carcinoma, lymphoma)
Miscellaneous (bee-sting allergy, hereditary nephritis)
